Five races into the 2025 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season, the teams of Doug Kalitta, Jack Beckman, Greg Anderson, and Gaige Herrera are the respective leaders in their classes in the NHRA Crew of the Year presented by Red Line Oil competition.

The award is given to a team in each Professional category and is based on a number of statistical categories, including average qualifying position, average eliminations e.t., speed index, average points per race, and oildowns. The award is tracked over the course of the season, with the top three teams in each Professional category (Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Stock, and Pro Stock Motorcycle) showcased at the awards banquet.

In Top Fuel, Kalitta’s Mac Tools team leads with the squad from teammate Shawn Langdon in second and Antron Brown’s team in third. Beckman’s Peak Chevy team leads the Funny Car battle ahead of the crews of Paul Lee and Austin Prock. Anderson’s HendrickCars.com team is in front in Pro Stock ahead of KB/Titan Racing teammates Dallas Glenn and Matt Hartford, while Herrera’s RevZilla/Vance & Hines team leads in Pro Stock Motorcycle ahead of rivals Matt and Angie Smith, who sit second and third, respectively.

It's worth noting that none of the NHRA Crew of the Year leaders are also leading the championship points, showing that this competition is about more than just winning rounds.
